Who are our artists?

Our goal is to work with multiple artist who focus on African art and culture. We started with one artist to make our first step, our second step is to find more artist who want to join our platform and bring these forms of art back to its prestige.

Below you can find a list of artist who we are working with.

the first painter to work with us

Enoch Agbemenu

Across Takoradi’s harbour view, you’ll find some wooden studios, and there you’ll find Enoch. With his brushes, rich acrylic paints, and flowing creativity, he realises on a simple cloth canvas the most beautiful forms, figures, scenes, and landscapes. His work comes here, to the Netherlands, where finalise the piece by spanning it over an MDF plate. With the colours flowing over the edge of the painting, we then secure the painting over the backboard, and with a few final touches, the piece is then ready to attract admirers wherever it hangs its authentic African essence.

Enoch's background

"I’m from Ghana, specifically the Volta Region. My father was an artist; he painted, he sculpted and I was always close to him as a child, so it’s no surprise that the love of art rubbed off on me. I’ve always loved drawing, but I only started to properly explore painting as a medium when I got into high school back in 1989. Between my father and what I was taught at school, my artistic skills flourished. If I’m painting something, it’s going to be figures, portraits, landscapes or scenes—many of which are inspired by my homeland. I’m still in Ghana, a place I’ll likely call home for a long time, and work out of my studio in Takoradi, the Western Region."
